connect. is an app for community unity.
connect. is an app to help organizations share content, drive culture, enhance communication, and build community.
1. What is the story of connect.?
We recognized that the Kingdom of God is losing ground in the digital space.
The platforms being used to connect with people, especially youth and families served in ministries and churches aren’t best set up to create a safe, wholesome place for leaders to engage people where they spend so much of their time now, namely their phones.
We also know that churches and ministries don’t always have the financial or human capital to create and sustain digital tools. So, we built an infrastructure that ensures all ministries and organizations that would like their own app space to drive culture, share faith related content, deepen connections, and encourage community could be involved.

2. What's one challenge that you overcame when working on connect.?
Or, when it felt like quitting, what helped you stay the course?
Our Kingdom perspective helps us hold course. We genuinely are in this business to advance the gospel, and be support to ministries and organizations that do so.
One particular challenge we have faced is funding the development and operation costs pre-market. But we have been blessed to have a group of businesses come alongside of us to see this Kingdom project be launched and sustained. We believe God orchestrated this funding and support.

3. Anywhere you recognize God's hand throughout the journey of creating connect.?
Yes! Several instances of conversations with organizations and ministries have revealed God is on the move with this project.
We’ve had many, many people say that they have been trying to “build their own app” so they could stay connected with the people God has given them to serve and lead. Each time we hear this, it feels like a little “God-wink.” It keeps us working hard to deliver the app to as many ministries as possible, so more and more people are connected to Christ centered causes.

If you are reading this and feel an urge that you need to build your own app… consider searching on faith.tools to see if someone’s already created something to equip you. Or, if there’s something that’s close but you need one more feature, reach out and partner with them!
4. If you could give advice to someone who's wanting to build an app or tool for Christians, what advice would you give?
If it’s God’s idea…go for it!
If it’s yours…don’t!
Joking aside, the lift in front of anyone trying to develop tools in the digital space is quite heavy. But we know from Matthew 19:26, “with God all things are possible.”

Amen! Reminds me of this verse:
Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
Psalm 127:1 ESV
